Sandridge’s Late Goal Helps Ony Slip Past Toledo

Outshooting Toledo 18-5, it was only a matter of time before the Onalaska girls soccer team got a shot past Riverhawk keeper Daphnie Bybee.

In the 74th minute, Brooklyn Sandridge fired the game-winning goal past Bybee off an assist from Jaelyn Auman, to help the Loggers to a 1-0 victory Monday evening in Toledo.

The Loggers peppered Bybee with shots almost all night, with eight of their 18 on target, but up until the final moments, Bybee wouldn’t let anything get past, recording seven saves.

On the other side, Hailee Brown saved four shots, and kept a clean sheet thanks to strong defensive play from Kate Zandell and Kylie Talley.

The Loggers play Kalama at home for senior night and their final regular season game, while Toledo takes on the Chinooks in a make-up contest on Friday at 6 p.m.
