Trevin Salme was on fire from deep on Friday in Brewster, hitting nine threes and scoring 33 points to lead the Pirates to a 66-60 win.
The Pirates and Bears went back-and-forth offensively in the first half, combining for 80 points, but the defenses settled in as the second half went along.
“That was another non-league game that we’ll learn a lot from,” Adna coach Luke Salme said. “We found a way to win in a really fun atmosphere.”
Grayson Humphrey and Jackson Knittle both added 11 points, and Gavan Muller scored seven points and hauled in 14 rebounds.
“We had some guys step up and make plays when we needed them to make them,” Salme said.
The Pirates (6-1, 5-0 C2BL) are right back at it on Saturday against Okanogan.
