Ron and Janet Brown, of Centralia, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on July 22.
The couple met when Janet arrived from England as an exchange teacher at Centralia High School, where Ron was a teacher and coach. They were married eleven months later in Burien at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in 1961.
Their children are Alisa and Ron Peterson, of Bellevue, David and Mareen Brown, of Centralia, Tim and Anna Brown, of Olympia, and Julie and Randy Kaut, of Centralia.
They have nine grandchildren.
