Rochester’s Mallory Gilbert punched her ticket to the state tournament on Tuesday, placing 12th place in the 1A District 4 Tournament at Tumwater Valley Golf Course.
Gilbert made the cut after shooting a 115 on Day 1, which left her tied for 15th. She had a much better day on Day 2, shooting a 104 to finish the tournament at 219.
She finished Tuesday with six bogeys, including two in her first three holes of the day.
Gilbert will represent Rochester at the 1A State Tournament, which is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20 and 21, in Liberty Lake.
