Riverhawks top Archers, push win streak to six

Posted

The Toledo boys basketball team’s win streak is up to six, as the Riverhawks took care of Summit Classical Christian 60-43 on Saturday.

The game was tied at 24 at halftime, but Toledo pulled away by outscoring Summit Classical 21-9 in the third, and the Riverhawks added on in the fourth.

Toledo coach Grady Fallon said the emphasis at halftime was ball security, as the Riverhawks turned the ball over 12 times in the first half.

“Not gonna win many games with 24 turnovers in the game,” Fallon said. “And they responded.”

Freshman Conner Hill led the way offensively with 18 points, including four second-half threes, and five rebounds, while Eli Weeks added 14 points.

Adam Kruger scored 12 points, recorded seven steals, and dished out five assists.

Cooper Fallon had another double-double, his ninth straight to start the season, with 10 points and 15 rebounds. He also had a massive night defensively, blocking seven shots. Tyce Vigre scored six points and hauled in nine rebounds.

“All those little stats are helping us grow,” Grady Fallon said. “Everybody is doing a little bit more.”

The Riverhawks (8-1, 4-1 C2BL) return to league play on Friday at Toutle Lake.
