Toledo came away with its third blowout win in its last four games on Monday, as the Riverhawks defeated Toutle Lake 7-0.
Five different Riverhawks found the back of the net, including Peyton Holter and Onica Chase, who both scored twice. Kailea Lairson, Xtyn Norberg, and Ryah Stanley also netted goals in the win. In addition to her goal, Norberg tallied four assists, and Kailea Lairson also had an assist.
“It was another good team effort,” Toledo coach Horst Malunat said. “We’re playing with each other … We have a pretty multi-pronged attack, and I like how the girls are moving the ball. That just makes us more threatening and dangerous as we get towards the postseason.”
With the win and Adna’s loss, Toledo (7-5-1, 4-1-1 C2BL) now has sole possession of third place in the league standings, trailing only Napavine and Onalaska, which are the last unbeaten teams in league play.
“I’m really happy with the effort from everyone,” Malunat said.
Toledo will look for another big win on Wednesday in Forks.
