Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez to host mobile office hours in Salkum

The office of Third Congressional District Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Skamania, will host an upcoming mobile office hours event in Salkum as part of a series of events to assist constituents with federal agencies, including Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service and the State Department.

The office hours are scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Salkum Timberland Library Meeting Room at 2480 U.S. Highway 12.

“My bipartisan team is working each day to directly assist folks across Southwest Washington with federal agencies — whether it’s recovering Social Security checks, tax refunds or veterans benefits you’re owed,” Gluesenkamp Perez said in a statement. “Providing mobile office hours in local communities across the district is part of my mission to make our services more accessible, especially for rural communities and those who may have trouble finding the time to seek out our resources.”

According to Gluesenkamp Perez, her office has recovered more than $1.7 million from government agencies for 1,198 constituents, which includes more than $182,000 from the VA and $829,000 from the IRS.

Those unable to make the mobile office hours are invited to call at 360-695-6292, visit or stop by in person at the Gluesenkamp Perez’s offices in Vancouver or Kelso.
