Mossyrock proved they were the better Vikings in a straight-set victory over Willapa Valley (25-6, 25-16, 25-16) in Menlo in 1B Columbia Valley League action on Tuesday.
The victory extends Mossy’s win streak to four games and the Vikings are now a perfect 4-0 in league play.
Outside hitter Paige Houghtelling tore apart Valley’s defense with a match-high 13 kills, while fellow outside hitter Hailey Brooks smashed home 10 kills and five aces. Houghtelling added six digs and Brooks had 13.
Payton Torrey contributed six kills, a team-high 19 digs and was 21 for 21 serving with an ace. Jolee Hadaller added four kills, 13 digs and was 7 for 7 serving, while Erin Cournyer dished out a team-high 23 assists to go with nine digs and two kills.
Caelyn Marshall collected 22 assists and nine digs, while Abbie Lovan had 12 digs.
Mossyrock (6-1, 4-0 league) hosts Firm Foundation at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
