The Tumwater baseball team made the most of its trip to the big stage, beating Black Hills 10-0 in five innings at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, behind a combined no-hitter by Ayden Ramsey and Brayden Oram.

Ramsey threw the first four innings of the game, striking out three and allowing four walks. Oram came in to get the final three outs, and did so by striking out the side.

Tumwater got all of the scoring it would need in the first inning on an RBI single by Oram. From there, Black Hills’ Alec Lynch put up three shutout innings, until the T-Birds got to him in a big way in the fifth. Tumwater hammered out nine runs in the frame, getting it into run-rule territory and making the no-hitter on the mound that much quicker.

Graysen Reveal drove in two runs to lead the Thunderbirds.

Tumwater was set to resume its postponed game against Rochester at 11 a.m. on Saturday; the T-Birds and Warriors will pick things up in the fourth inning, with Tumwater up 4-0.

Black Hills will play at Centralia on Tuesday.
