Seven local squads were among the crowded field of 12 that made their way to Rainier Elementary School for the Central 2B League Preview on Thursday. The host Mountaineers dominated the day in the girls race, while the boys’ affair was much more even.

Over on the boys’ side of things, Toledo’s Treyton Marty dusted the competition, taking first with a time of 18:03.10.
The team crown, however, went to Onalaska, thanks to five runners all stacking top-15 finishes. Senior Ben Russon came across first for the Loggers in seventh (19:05.84).
