The Adna girls golf team came out on top in their first match of the season on Tuesday, as the Pirates narrowly defeated Mary M. Knight 227-235 at Oaksridge Golf Course in Elma.
Jaylee Humphrey led the way with a 52, while Emma Elder shot a 57. Both Charissa Schierman and Kalli Christen shot 59s, while Molly Powell and Lilly Naillon each logged a 63.
The Adna boys also played a round. Braeden Salme paced the boys team with a 40, while Ben Andrew shot a 49. Alex Smith recorded a 54, and Carter White shot a 57.
Jack Smith shot a 52, and Nate Scheuber and Brody Luurs rounded out the group with 58s.
