Pirates Run-Rule Chinooks in Five

Led by another dominant outing at the dish, the Adna softball team racked up 17 hits, and clobbered Kalama on the road Thursday afternoon, 14-4 in five innings. 

The Pirates were led by the top of their order, with Danika Hallom going 2 for 3 with two runs scored, Brooklyn Loose going 3 for 3 with three runs scored, two RBIs, and a walk drawn, and Kendall Humphrey went 2 for 2 with two runs scored and three RBIs in the win. 

In the circle, Ava Simms pitched three innings, giving up just one hit and one walk with no runs scored and eight strikeouts. Karlee VonMoos stepped in to pitch the final two innings, and recorded seven strikeouts with four runs given up, with two earned, on two hits and two walks. 

The Pirates finish their league season with a perfect record, and will play 1A powerhouse Montesano for a districts tune-up on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
