Adna ran into a roadblock in Kalama, falling to the Chinooks in straight sets (25-17, 25-17 25-15) in 2B Central League action on Thursday.

“We were able to hang for a little bit and actually dug a lot of balls, but we had issues freeballing,” Adna coach Wendie Dotson said. “We did serve well and saw some really good things, we just have to set up our offensensive game.”

Dotson praised Kendall Humphrey, Parker Feist and Maddie Fay for digging up balls on defense.

“Everyone contributed defensively, we just couldn’t string them together,” Dotson said.

Adna (9-3, 4-1 league) hosts Wahkiakum on Tuesday.
