Pe Ell Uses Balanced Attack to Down Terriers

Paced by a stifling defense and a balanced offensive game, the Pe Ell boys basketball team defeated Washington School for the Deaf, 64-33, Monday night in a home league contest.

The Trojans used a 21-6 second quarter run to get out ahead and get some subs in, with eight players getting points in a balanced night of work.

“Great team effort tonight,” Trojans coach Chris Phelps said. “We moved the ball well offensively and were very unselfish. I'm excited to see all our hard work come together down the stretch.”

Kail Homan led the way for Pe Ell, finishing with 19 points, eight assists, eight rebounds and four assists, and Phelps also praised Logan Baldwin and Blake Howard for attacking the rim relentlessly. Baldwin had a game-high 20 points and Howard finished with 13.

The Trojans take on Firm Foundation in another league contest Tuesday on the road.
