Officers Still Seeking Suspect in Chehalis Bank Robbery

Police have so far been unable to locate a man suspected of robbing Chase Bank on South Market Boulevard in Chehalis Friday. 

The robbery was reported at approximately 1 p.m. None of the bank employees were injured, according to the Chehalis Police Department. 

A man wearing “a black coat, gray pants and medical mask” had reportedly entered the business, approached a teller and demanded money, according to the Chehalis Police Department. 

A firearm was “implied but not seen,” according to the Chehalis Police Department. 

The teller reportedly complied with the robber’s demands and the suspect left the bank, running westbound on Seventh Street.



Officers from the Chehalis Police Department, assisted by officers with the Centralia Police Department, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office and Washington State Patrol, contained the area while a K-9 search was conducted. 

The suspect had not been located as of 4 p.m. on Friday. 

The Chehalis Police Department did not identify the name of the bank that was robbed. On social media, residents have said the robbery occurred at Chase Bank.
