The Oakville baseball team won its postseason opener on Tuesday, defeating Mary M. Knight 19-5 in the first round of the 1B District 4 Tournament.
The Acorns move on to play Naselle, the top seed in the tournament, on Wednesday.
The winner of that game will advance to the state tournament and the district title game, while the loser’s season will be over.
If the Acorns win, they would advance to their first district title game since 2015, which is also the last time they qualified for the state tournament.
