Two people were displaced following a fire that destroyed a travel trailer in the 300 block of South Silver Street on Tuesday night.

“The good news is no injuries (were reported). Confined pretty much to the building of origin and we’re just trying to figure (the cause) out,” said Riverside Fire Chief Mike Kytta.

Fire crews with the Riverside Fire Authority and the Chehalis Fire Department who were dispatched to the scene at 5:43 p.m. on Dec. 6 arrived to find the trailer fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters successfully suppressed the fire and prevented it from spreading to the adjacent houses on the property.

“There was some smoke over there but nothing serious,” said Kytta.

No one was inside the trailer when the fire started, according to Riverside.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation as of Wednesday morning.
