The Napavine Trinity Rebekahs will host a family-friendly bingo and dinner night on Saturday, Sept. 21, to raise funds for the L.C. Renal Alliance.
The L.C. Renal Alliance is a nonprofit organization formed by parents of children with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), which is a rare kidney disease. There is no federally approved treatment for the disease, just various medications that are distributed to mitigate some of the symptoms of the disease.
FSGS is the leading cause of end-stage kidney failure in children, and there are various studies and trials pending, according to the L.C. Renal Alliance’s website.
The event hosted by the Napavine Trinity Rebekahs will cost $25 per person and will include a pork chop dinner and two packs of bingo cards. Dinner will begin at 4 p.m. with bingo following at 6 p.m.
The Napavine Trinity Rebekahs Lodge is located at 111 W. Washington St. in Napavine. For more information on FSGS and the L.C. Renal Alliance, visit https://www.lcrenalalliance.org/.
