Four players in double figures and a decisive edge in the rebounding department allowed the Tigers to cruise by the Ducks 83-40 on Wednesday night at home in a C2BL clash.
With four league games left on the schedule, Napavine (14-2, 11-1 C2BL) remained tied with Adna for the league lead. Those two will tangle next Wednesday in Napavine, with the winner likely taking the top seed in the Class 2B District 4 tournament.
It took the Tigers just eight minutes to build up a 17-point lead and by halftime, they were up by 27. They shot a tick over 50 percent from the field and 38 percent from behind the arc. Karsen Denault paced the scoring with 21 points.
Tyler Watson and Hudson Chambers each had 12 points and Beckett Landram added 10. Jack Nelson hauled in a game-high 11 rebounds while Cal Bullock dished out five assists.
Napavine will travel to Rainier on Saturday afternoon.
