It didn’t take long for Napavine to come away with a win on Thursday, as the Tigers took care of Winlock in a 25-11, 25-7, 25-11 sweep.
“The girls played well,” Napavine coach Monica Dailey said. “Serving was very strong for us, our hitters did a good job hitting their spots, and I’m pleased with their effort and attitude tonight.”
It was a near perfect night for Napavine at the service line, as six Tigers were perfect from the line. As a team, they made only two errors all night.
Jessie McCoy led the way with a 27 for 28 mark and a whopping 14 aces, and she also served during a 15-0 Napavine run in the second set.
McCoy also added 10 assists, and Nicholle Valentine led the Tigers with 13 kills. Stephanie Camacho-Chavez tallied nine digs, and Ava Ondong logged three kills.
Winlock (1-8, 0-2 C2BL) will be back in action Friday at Mossyrock, and Napavine (6-5, 2-1 C2BL) will also head to Mossyrock for its next game on Wednesday.
