Mountaineers, Timberwolves, Pirates All Take to Trail at Timberline Jamboree

Three local 2B schools got to running Wednesday, with Adna, Morton-White Pass, and Rainier going to Lacey for Timberline’s 2-Mile Jamboree.

The Rainier girls brought home the best finishes of the day, with sophomore Bryn Beckman coming in third at 13:58.0, behind two runners from 3A Capital. Four seconds behind her, fellow Mountaineer Hailey Tyrell took fourth at 14:02.3.

Sophomore Angelica Askey cracked the top 10 with a ninth-place time of 14:21.7. Ella Marvin finished in 14:48.1 to place 16th, and Sarah Barry was 56th (23:14.5).

Staying on the girls’ side, freshman Megan Price led Adna with a time of 17:29.1 to take 38th, while Megan Stout was 47th at 19:42.4. Ayricka Hughes — MWP’s lone runner on the course — was 24th with a time of 15:09.8.

In the boys race, Adna’s Jordan Stout posted the best local time (11:16.8) to finish in fifth. Freshman Bailey Davis was 45th for the Pirates (13:02.0). Nathanael Scheuber (14:14.5) and Kolton Moon (14:21.5) paced 81st and 84th, respectively, while Davonte Robinson rounded out the Pirates’ team score with a 113th-best time of 14:48.4.

MWP’s Hunter Brackett (11:30.0) placed eighth. Teammate Eric Brown was 21st at 12:05.6, Max Lowe finished at 13:59.3, and Aiden Kampa and Keaton Thompson finished within two seconds of each other to come in 78th and 80th, respectively.



Rainier’s James Meldrum and Zach Hamilton finished one after the other to crack the top-20 in 18th and 19th, respectively, while Ean Viik finished in 108th and Ethan Hamilton took 126th.
