The Rainier girls basketball team won its sixth game in a row on Thursday, taking down Aberdeen 68-16 in its first game of the new year.
It was all Rainier all evening, as the Mountaineers opened up a 17-point lead by scoring 25 in the first quarter before shutting out Aberdeen in the second to extend the lead to 34.
The second half followed suit, as Rainier allowed just eight points in the third before posting another zero defensively in the fourth.
Brooklynn Swenson led the way offensively with 22 points, while Angelica Askey added 17 and Janess Blackburn scored 15. Kaysen Bravo scored eight points, and Lexi Beckman tallied four.
Rainier (8-1) will return home to host Black Hills on Monday.
