Honoring local seniors across Lewis County, Centralia College had its yearly volleyball showcase Saturday night for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March of 2020.
In back-and-forth action, the blue team defeated the yellow team in four, close sets, after the yellow team took the first set.
The blue team consisted of Lincoln’s Sonia Jimena, Mossyrock’s Hailey Brooks and Paige Houghtelling, Napavine’s Morgan Hamilton, Adna’s Brooklyn Loose, and W.F. West’s Mariama Ceesay and was coached by CC players Kylee Buchanan and Katelyn Hunsaker. The blue team MVP was Brooks.
The yellow team consisted of Centralia’s Peyton Smith and Tatum Johnston, Adna’s Parker Feist, W.F. West’s Savannah Hawkins, and Mossyrock’s Payton Torrey and Caelyn Marshall, coached by Kate Demery and Kelly Casarez. The yellow team MVP was Smith.
