The Mossyrock softball team only needed two trips to the plate to hit three-inning run-rule territory Thursday against Oakville, blasting the Acorns 19-0 in 1B Coastal action.
The Vikings scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning, and nine in the bottom of the second. Mossyrock combined for seven hits, and let Oakville keep its line moving with 18 free passes.
“It was a long two and a half innings,” Mossyrock coach Keith Coleman said.
Lois Stone went 3 for 3 for Mossyrock, finishing a home run shy of the cycle and driving in four runs. Hailey Brooks went 2 for 2 with a triple and three more RBIs.
Mossyrock is slated for a doubleheader against Winlock on Monday.
