A late three from Mason Atter gave the Mossyrock boys basketball team a late lead over Onalaska, and the Vikings were able to hold on for a 55-52 win on Wednesday.

“This was a big step for us moving forward,” Mossyrock interim coach Kelly Ross said. “Our team played excellent team ball. It was great to see our players grow.”

Ross commended multiple players, including Shaun Fry, who led the team with 21 points, and Easton Kolb, who scored five points but also made an impact beyond the box score.

“He controlled the game offensively and led us on the defensive end,” Ross said. “That’s what senior leaders do.”

Ethan Johnson added 12 points, and Colby Cournyer scored eight. Atter finished with five, and Mitchell tallied three.

Blaze Underhill led the Vikings with 17 points, while Case McGraw scored 12 and Ethan Thayer added 11.

Mossyrock (4-14, 4-11 C2BL) will wrap up its regular season on Friday at Adna. Onalaska (8-11, 6-9 C2BL) will end its regular season on Monday at Toutle Lake.
