Morton-White Pass Boys Take Seven-Team Meet in Toledo

Morton-White Pass boys had four finishers in the top 11 and the Timberwolves clipped Rainier 37-43 for the team title at a 2B Central League meet in Toledo on Tuesday.

In a meet with runners from seven schools, Mossyrock was third (63), Stevenson fourth (107) and Adna fifth (111).

Timberwolves’ senior David Martinez (18:00) edged Rainier’s Dylan Davis (18:06) by six seconds for the individual title. T-Wolves’ Asher Sympson was third (18:21), Hunter Brackett was eighth (19:14) and Eric Brown was 11th (19:45).

Mountaineers’ senior Ryan Doidge placed fourth (18:28), Mossyrock’s Christian Paz Tapia was fifth (18:41), Toledo freshman Treyton Marty was sixth (18:53) and Adna’s Jordan Stout was seventh (19:13).



Rounding out the top 10 were Mossyrock teammates Hugo Wedam (19:43) and Miguel Gomez (19:44).

On the girls side, Stevenson’s Isabella Spencer (20:28) defeated Rainier standout Selena Niemi (20:50) by 22 seconds for the individual title. Stevenson won as a team with 25 points while Rainier was second with 30.

Morton-White Pass junior Ayricka Hughes was fourth (23:39) and Toledo’s Karley Harris was fifth (23:53). Rainier’s Faith Boesch (24:49) and Zoe Mathson (24:56) were seventh and eighth, respectively. Mountaineers’ Emma Mathson was 10th (25:16) and MWP’s Jordan Koetje was 11th (25:18).

Next up for all teams is the 2B Central League Championships on Oct. 21 at Onalaska High School.
