Competing amongst the state’s best golfers, 2022 Tumwater graduate Lily McCauley took fifth at the Washington Women’s Amateur Golf Championships at Wing Point Golf and Country Club in Bainbridge Island this week.

McCauley, also a member of Washington State University’s women’s golf team, shot a 78 in the first round, a 76 in the second round, and a 77 in the final third round for a total gross score of 231.

Bellevue’s Angela Zhang — a 14-year-old that has qualified for the U.S. Open — won the event with a three-round gross score of 214. Zhang also won the event as a 13-year-old last year.
