The Master Gardener Foundation of Lewis County has announced the return of its annual Spring Plant Sale.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 17 and from 9 a.m. until sold out on May 18 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds’ Blue Pavilion.
Admission is free.
The sale accepts payments via cash, debit cards, checks and major credit cards, a news release from the Master Gardeners stated
Shoppers will find a variety of vegetable starts, vibrant annuals, perennials, native plants, trees and more — all selected to thrive in Lewis County.
The event is particularly renowned for offering the largest and best variety of tomato plants in the region, the release stated.
In addition to the plant selection, attendees can browse glass garden art, including flower sculptures, bee and butterfly watering stands, and bird baths. Plus, there will be a raffle, where visitors will have the chance to win prizes.
WSU Extension Master Gardeners will be on hand throughout the event to answer questions, provide plant care tips and offer insights into keeping gardens healthy. The Master Gardeners Plant Clinic will also be open on site, providing free diagnoses and solutions for plant-related issues.
Funds raised from the plant sale help support community initiatives, including the youth outreach program at Toledo Elementary School, scholarships for students at Centralia Community College and free monthly gardening workshops.
