Loggers take both team titles at home meet

The Onalaska boys and girls track teams came away with team victories on Tuesday, as they both topped four other teams at a District 4 1B/2B league meet.

The Logger girls scored 170 points, 56 points more than Toutle Lake, the next-closest team, and the boys scored 175, which beat second-place MWP by 43.

On the girls side, Onalaska’s Renzy Marshall won the 100-meter dash, while Reese Marshall, Renzy Marshall, Maddy Hanson, and Emalie Jacoby won the 4x100 relay together.

Renzy Marshall was also on the victorious 4x200 relay team, alongside Kyla Free, Oleana Rimmereid, and Ferra Gust.

Kiley Talley (shot put and discus) and Emalie Jacoby (triple jump) won their field events.

On the boys side, Onalaska’s victors included Brodey Triana (400), Ethan Thayer (shot put), Justice Werner (discus), Lane Gordon (javelin), and Case McGraw (long jump). The Logger boys also had a victorious relay team, as Thayer, Triana, McGraw, and Werner won the 4x100.



Mathew Parvin won the 100 and 200 for MWP on the boys side, while Vanson Armstrong won the 1,600.

Owen Loucks, Armstrong, Noah Gilstrap, and Noah Troy teamed up to win the 4x400, while Loucks (high jump) and Sebastian Gonzalez (pole vault) won their field events.

Pe Ell’s Blake Nelson was the lone Trojan boy to win an event, setting a personal record in the triple jump, and Winlock’s Xavier Sancho-Carrillo (800) and Oscar Silvestre (3,200) won their races.

On the girls side, MWP’s Madyson Bryant (400) and Fairlane Armstrong (800) won their races, while Winlock’s Alilet Cuadra earned a victory for the Cardinals in the 1,600.

Pe Ell’s Madi Engel earned the best finish for the Trojan girls, finishing second in the 100 hurdles.
