Loggers Start Season with Scoreless Draw at Home

Though the Onalaska girls soccer team had its chances, it never found the back and the net and held Castle Rock off the scoreboard in a 0-0 stalemate at home Thursday in its season opener.

The Loggers (0-0-1) had 12 shots on goal, with seven coming in the first half, but couldn’t ever get one through the back of the net. Hailee Brown got her first start in goal and finished with 10 saves, including eight in the second half.

After a huge senior class graduated a year ago, Ony is starting seven freshmen, two sophomores, four juniors, and just one senior.

They’ll look to get into the win column their next time out against Napavine next Wednesday.
