The Onalaska boys basketball team fell on the road to 1A Hoquiam Saturday night, 62-41.
No Logger scored in double figures, but Ben Russon led the way with eight points. Kayden Mozingo, Case McGraw, and Nick Rushton all scored seven for the Loggers, while Michael Lorton-Watkins of Hoquiam scored a game-high 24.
“We did not execute our gameplan defensively and if you want to be a good team late in the year you have to be able to execute,” Ony coach Brent Wood said. “We would play good defense for half a shot clock and then one or two guys would lose focus and they'd get a back cut or a layup or offensive rebound. Lorton-Watkins killed us everywhere on the court tonight.”
The Loggers return to league play against Kalama on Wednesday at home.
