Having a tough night shooting, the Onalaska boys basketball team fell to Toutle Lake on the road Thursday night, 77-29.
The Loggers were outscored 24-5 in the first quarter, and the Ducks never looked back in the win. Zach Swanson led the charge for Toutle Lake with 26 points, and Conner Cox also scored 11.
“Probably our toughest game of the year offensively,” Ony coach Brent Wood said. “Toutle is well-coached on the defensive side of things and they forced 22 turnovers. On the defensive side of things, we could not handle Zach Swanson. I thought Sam Pannkuk gave us a few good defensive moments.”
No Logger scored in double figures but Blaze Underhill had seven and Ben Russon had six to lead the way.
The Loggers play next against Hoquiam in a non-league contest at home Monday night.
