Loggers Battle Through Errors in Sweep of Cardinals

Onalaska coach Jen Hamilton wanted to make it clear that though the Loggers swept Winlock Monday night (25-16, 25-7, 25-13), it was anything but a complete, clean effort.

The Loggers rolled through the Cardinals, winning each set without much stress on the scoreboard, but they committed 25 unforced errors over the course of three sets. Twenty of those came in the first and third sets.

“I’m hoping that tonight was like a Monday practice,” Hamilton said. “We had to be extra scrappy tonight.”

Monday night’s win didn’t come without some highlights: Morgan Hamilton recorded nine kills and 13 digs, Hannah James had seven kills, 12 digs, and was the Loggers best server with three aces and a perfect 100% serving percentage.

Dakotah Hamilton dished out 16 assists and spiked down five kills, and Raelee Holmes stepped up in the back with 15 digs and three assists as defensive specialist.

With powerhouse Toutle Lake on tap for Tuesday, Onalaska is hoping that its service and error woes dissipate in perhaps its biggest test to date on the road.

Winlock will host Morton-White Pass tomorrow looking to bounce back.
