The Lewis County Coroner’s Office, in partnership with John Panesko and the Pioneer Cemetery, will hold an interment service for unclaimed cremated decedents at noon on Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Pioneer Cemetery, located at 2000 S. Market Blvd. in Chehalis.

“This is an annual ceremony held by the coroner’s office to respectfully inter cremated remains of decedents who either had no family or whose family had abandoned them,” the coroner’s office stated in a news release.

The public is invited to attend. Parking will be available across the street from the cemetery at the Eagles Club.
