Lewis County commissioners extend deadline for lodging tax grant applications

Posted

The Lewis County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) has extended the deadline to submit applications for the 2024 lodging tax through 3 p.m. Friday.

The deadline, initially 3 p.m. on Oct. 6, was extended after a prospective applicant struggled to submit the form on time due to technical issues. During the commissioners’ Monday wrap-up meeting, the board opted to extend the deadline for any applicant, rather than accept a single late submission.

Applicants must give a five-minute presentation and participate in a nine-minute question-and-answer period on Nov. 2 at the Lewis County Courthouse at 351 N.W. North St. County staff will assign presentation times after the application period closes.

The BOCC is expected to make preliminary funding decisions in mid-November. For more information on the lodging tax grant, go to lewiscountywa.gov/offices/commissioners.
