Centralia has many caring, qualified candidates running for local positions this fall.
Some have given years of dedicated service to our community and others are new to the political arena. One impressive new candidate is Kelly Smith Johnston, running for Position 2 on the Centralia City Council. I’m convinced Kelly Johnston will be a great asset to our City Council.
Kelly is a professional woman, with excellent organizational skills and practical ideas for enhancing our growing community, and she has the gift of clearly articulating her plans for Centralia. Her vision includes reducing congestion, improving cooperation among community partners, creating neighborhood hubs, and keeping the cost of living low. Kelly is a thinker, a listener, and a ‘doer’ — she has been out in the community, going door to door to hear people’s concerns. To date, Kelly has rung over 1,400 doorbells, and has created a spreadsheet noting the major issues Centralia citizens have shared with her.
My choice this November for Centralia City Council Position 2 is Kelly Johnston.
