Upon learning that white supremacists had invaded his local town hall in Onalaska, the correct response from congressional candidate Joe Kent should have been, "Leave now, you have no place here. I renounce your evil ideologies."
End of story.
A true leader would stand up to these architects of hate and chaos. There is no place at any forum for them in a civil, functioning, capitalist society. Profoundly disturbing is that these intruders feel comfortable showing their faces in a Republican forum spouting their garbage at all. Possibly one of the more disappointing aspects of the community response to these whiny, baby intruders was the lack of vehemence toward the bigoted snowflakes by not denouncing the blatant racism and instead being more upset that the racists were taking up valuable time that could have been used by locals to ask Joe Kent questions.
Lewis County Republicans and the national party as a whole need to make a choice. This is not a nuanced argument. Do you support racism or not? Will you stand up to this evil or not? If you will not then do not bother calling yourself a Christian because you do not understand one word of Christ's message or what he stood for. Stop pretending.
You do not get to flirt with this kind of evil and retweet its messages and then distance yourself when it doesn't look good for your image. If these evil men succeed, our way of life will cease to exist. There are countless precedents throughout history on every continent. I am astounded that we as humans are incapable of learning from our past mistakes when these wicked men feel comfortable enough in society to slither out of the mud and start spewing their vitriol.
If you value your lifestyle, your freedom and the safety of your family, you had better start standing up to this rot before it is too late.

Joe Kent saying "yeah" in agreement with the ages old racist theory of white replacement is not acceptable. Zero immigration except for marriage? Say goodbye to your Social Security checks and Medicare benefits because there will not be enough low wage workers to support the system. Any intelligent person with a basic understanding of economics knows this.
Joe Kent did not demonstrate he is capable of standing up to these creeps at his own meeting.
We need to demand that Congress fix the immigration system, not blow it up. You can whip yourselves into a frenzy over critical race theory, abortion and culture wars in general while this faction of hate slips in behind you and normalizes evil. There is no freedom, equal rights or American constitutional ideals for anyone in a white supremacist society even if you are white. Ask any person who lived in Nazi Germany.
We need to quit sitting on our hands afraid of offending these monsters and just run them out of communities when they show up.
