I am writing to ask Chehalis voters to cast their ballots for Terry Harris for Chehalis City Council At-Large Position No. 1.
I had the privilege of serving the citizens of Chehalis for over 34 years, several as city clerk. During that time, I served under many great council members. One of those council members was Terry Harris. During his previous 16 years on the council, he was a leader, serving on numerous boards and committees, most notably being elected by his fellow council members as mayor pro tem.
Terry chaired the city’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. I saw him listen to the various thoughts and opinions of each committee member and then bring those individual thoughts and opinions together to form a joint recommendation to the city council.
He continues to serve as a member of the Chehalis Community Renaissance Team, the Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee and chairs the Chehalis Basin Partnership. For many years, Terry has led the charge to make Chehalis a festive and welcoming city during Christmas. Terry is experienced. He does his research and comes to council meetings prepared. He listens and is fair, always basing his decisions on what is best for the citizens of Chehalis.
Terry is a man of integrity and genuinely loves Chehalis and I again ask that you vote for Terry Harris for Chehalis City Council!
