Gov. Ron DeSantis recently implemented DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) for the State of Florida. A billion dollars in savings has been found so far.
If Washington state implemented a DOGE program, it wouldn’t be too hard to snag a few of Elon’s 200 young brainiacs to help execute the mission. I think a $1 billion and much more in savings would happen very quickly.
Some polls show the DOGE boys and girls have 80% approval nationwide. Every political leader should know that jumping on the side of an 80% approval is going to catapult their careers into much greater places.
Going the other way, well, not so good. Hopefully our state’s politicians, both Republican and Democratic, will start jumping on this huge opportunity.
