The state already has airports at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Moses Lake. Swapping the land use so air travel goes to JBLM and JBLM goes to Eastern Washington makes too much sense.
The tax and construction lobbies would make great use of the old base for developments. And Moses Lake could use the jobs.
