Chehalis Outfitters is partnering with the Lewis County Master Gardeners to host a class on propagating with seeds.
The class will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 15 at Chehalis Outfitters, 1757 N. National Ave., Chehalis.
There is no cost to attend.
“This informative session is perfect for gardening enthusiasts, from beginners to experienced green thumbs, who are eager to learn the essentials of starting plants from seed,” Chehalis Outfitters stated in a news release. “Join us at our store to explore the art and science of seed propagation.”
This class will cover:
• Seed selection: Learn how to choose the right seeds for your garden and growing conditions.
• Starting seeds indoors: Discover tips and techniques for successfully germinating seeds indoors.
• Caring for seedlings: Gain insights on how to nurture young plants to ensure healthy growth.
• Up-potting and transplanting: Master the process of transferring seedlings to larger containers and eventually into your garden.
“This event promises to equip participants with the skills and confidence to grow their own vegetables, flowers and more — all from seed,” Chehalis Outfitters stated.
To ensure enough materials are available, attendees are asked to pre-register three to four days prior to the workshop. To secure a space, call 360-740-1212 or email julie.pirtle@lewiscountywa.gov from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
“At Chehalis Outfitters, we’re committed to fostering a love of gardening and providing our community with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed,” the business stated in the release. “Whether you’re growing your first plant or your 100th, this class will provide valuable insights and techniques to take your garden to the next level.”
