The last of five co-defendants accused of luring a 17-year-old victim into a car and assaulting him has pleaded guilty to charges associated with the October 2020 incident and has been sentenced in Lewis County Superior Court.

The co-defendants — Nicholas T.R. English, 19, of Olympia; Hunter Mallory, 20, of Centralia; Ethan C.W.A. Mallory, 21, of Centralia; Bryan J. Tracy, 21, of Centralia; and Jazanya E. Ramirez, 19, of Centralia — were accused of kidnapping the victim and driving him to Seminary Hill, where they beat him and stole his jewelry before driving him back to his residence.

English pleaded guilty to one count each of second-degree assault and second-degree robbery on July 7 and will serve 20 months in prison with credit for time served followed by 18 months in community custody.

Ethan Mallory and Tracy both pleaded guilty to second-degree kidnapping and second-degree robbery charges in late March and are approximately three months into their respective prison sentences.

Ethan Mallory was sentenced to serve 15 months in prison followed by 18 months in community custody, while Tracy was ordered to serve 18 months in prison followed by 18 months in community custody.

Hunter Mallory pleaded guilty to one count each of second-degree robbery, second-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault on March 24 and received the most severe sentence of the five. He will serve 51 months in prison followed by 18 months in community custody. He was sentenced on April 14.

Ethan Mallory, Hunter Mallory and Tracy will be required to register as felony kidnapping offenders upon their release.

The fifth codefendant, Ramirez, entered an In Re Barr plea — meaning she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge she didn’t commit to avoid conviction on more-severe charges — to one count of luring on March 31. She was to serve 30 days on electronic home monitoring but broke her conditions of release by ingesting cannabinoids during home monitoring, according to court documents, and there is an active warrant out for her arrest.

All five will be required to pay restitution to the victim in an amount that will be determined at a later hearing.

Each co-defendant’s sentence includes a no-contact order to protect the victim.
