Klatush Drops 51-Piece on North River

OAKVILLE — Not many basketball players at any level can say they’ve scored 30 points, let alone 50. Tuesday night in front of his home crowd, Oakville’s Eddie Klatush outscored North River all by himself, dropping 51 points to help the Acorns to a 82-45 win.

Klatush’s 51 points are now a Chronicle-area high this season, breaking Centralia forward Landon Kaut’s previous high of 35 points against Aberdeen last week.

The win puts the Acorns in sole possession of first place in the 1B Coastal, at a perfect 5-0, with none of the games being particularly close. Rounding out Oakville’s scorers were six points each from Hazen Cayenne, Quinton Roberts, Ashton Boyd, Koner Burnett, and Daniel Rodas.

The Acorns will take on league rival Taholah next on Friday on the road.
