With the success of his inaugural card and memorabilia show at the beginning of September, Dan Keiper of Keiper’s Cards is now preparing for his second show.
It’s scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2, and Sunday, Dec. 3, in the Tower Plaza Mall, located at 320 N. Tower Ave. in downtown Centralia.
The show will feature more than 20 vendors who will bring collections of cards, sports memorabilia, collectable toys and more. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the card show is free.
Along with the cards and collectables, former Seattle Seahawks kicker Norm Johnson, who spent eight years of his 18-year NFL career playing for the Seahawks from 1982 to 1990, will be present at the show on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. to sign autographs.
“In Seattle’s early days, he was their kicker,” Keiper said.
According to pro-football-reference.com, Johnson is ranked 17th among players throughout all of NFL history when it comes to points scored, having scored 1,736 points throughout his career as a kicker. Aside from the Seahawks, he also played for the Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles.
During his career, he earned two Pro Bowl selections and was a league first-team All-Pro in 1984. He was named a member of the Seattle Seahawks 35th Anniversary Team.
Those looking to meet Johnson and get his autograph will pay $10 per autograph. Keiper will have cards and 8x10 photos of Johnson to purchase for autographs as well, though attendees are welcome to bring their own cards and collectables to be signed.
Additionally, Keiper is collecting toy donations for the United Way of Lewis County’s Shop With a Cop event. For those who bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate, a $5 discount will be given for one autograph, limited to one per person.
“You can get multiple autographs still, but you only get the discount on one of them,” Keiper said.
Johnson won’t be the only professional athlete signing autographs either, as W.F. West graduate and New York Mets pitching prospect Dakota Hawkins will once again be at Keiper’s Cards during the show.
“Dakota will be here both days signing autographs,” Keiper added.

Aside from the card show coming up, Keiper has expanded his shop’s footprint in the Tower Plaza Mall and now occupies two suites just like its neighboring business, Cosmic Tattoo.
The extra space gives Keiper more room to spread out his extensive collection of cards. He also plans to use the extra space to begin hosting tournaments for players of Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon.
“I just bought 24 tables for the show out here, so I’m planning on doing some tournaments for Magic and Pokemon … I’m looking to do more community stuff like that to get more people in and have fun together,” Keiper said.
Keiper is currently gauging interest and trying to find out when would be the best times to host the tournaments for locals to attend. Those interested in the tournaments can contact Keiper by messaging him on Keiper’s Cards’ Facebook or Instagram pages.
