A direct free kick goal off the foot of Hayden Kaut was enough for the Napavine girls soccer team on Thursday, as the Tigers held on to defeat Onalaska 1-0 in a non-league meeting.
Kaut’s free kick came in the 21st minute, and though the Loggers later found the back of the net with a potential tying goal, it was wiped off due to an offsides call.
Taylen Evander made five saves in net for Napavine, while Emily Hicks saved four shots for Onalaska.
The Tigers (3-2) will hit the road again on Tuesday to face Highland, while Onalaska (0-5) will have next week off before hosting Raymond-South Bend on Monday, Sept. 29.
