Former Adna standout Karlee VonMoos made Lower Columbia College history on Wednesday, becoming the programs all-time leading rebounder in the Red Devils’ 70-53 win over Centralia College.
VonMoos hauled in 13 rebounds to put her at 477 career rebounds, which broke the previous record set by Sierra Richards from 2013 to 2015. VonMoos also scored 13 points to lead LCC past Centralia.
The Trailblazers and Red Devils were mostly even in the final three frames, but CC trailed by 13 after the first quarter and could never make a dent in the initial deficit.
Marecia Barnett led Centralia College with 20 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a steal, while Kate Carpenter scored six points and blocked six shots.
Jazmin Moctezume, Ella Baumgartner, and Abi Lundblad each scored six points. Baumgartner also logged seven rebounds, five assists, and a pair of steals, and Lundblad grabbed six rebounds.
Kylee Lange added five points and Meletava Fonohea scored four to round out the CC scorers.
Centralia College (3-11, 0-1 NWAC) will be back at Michael Smith Gymnasium on Friday, when the Trailblazers host Tacoma in the first game of a women's-men's doubleheader.

The Centralia College men’s basketball team was also in action in Longview on Wednesday, and the Trailblazers were defeated by the Red Devils 65-43.
Much like the women’s game before it, the Trailblazers played better as the game went along, but an early deficit proved to be a hill too big to climb.
Kevin Williams led the men with 15 points, four assists, three rebounds, and a pair of steals, while Andrew Collins added 10 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.
Lance Green added six points and six rebounds, and Clay Morgan scored six points. Awan Dut scored two points and hauled in six rebounds of his own off the bench.
Centralia (1-14, 0-1 NWAC) will be back at home on Friday to host Tacoma.
