Shawn Robert Diamond, 60, of Winlock, Washington, passed away on July 2, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with ALS.
Shawn was born on April 22, 1965, in Vancouver, Washington, to Harry “Butch” Robert Diamond and Terryl Mae Clark. He grew up in Vancouver and graduated from Fort Vancouver High School in 1983.
During high school, Shawn met his forever sweetheart, Lisa Renée Cox, and they were married on May 21, 1988. They had two wonderful children, Tyler and Jordyn. They moved to Winlock, Washington, in 1997.
After high school, Shawn worked at Christensen Motor Yachts before starting his own marine painting business, Diamond Painting, in 1996. Shawn had a passion for rebuilding and restoring cars and boats, and he worked hard at creating a successful business in the Seattle area with his friend and business partner, Tony Hatfield.
Shawn is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa; his son, Tyler Diamond, and daughter-in-law, Katy; his daughter, Jordyn Hernandez, and son-in-law, Enrique; his grandchildren, Kade, Karter and Lane; and his sister, Kim Diamond-Duran.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Butch Diamond, and his mother, Teri Pettis.
Shawn had a great sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. Throughout his illness, he faced every day with a smile on his face and a good attitude. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at his home, 967 King Road, Winlock, WA 98596.
