Mary Margaret Burchett was born on October 19, 1933 to Helen and Leslie Mallonee in Dodge City, Kansas. She moved to the Pacific Northwest with her parents and younger sister, Helen, in 1946 where she remained until her death on May 26, 2023.

She spent her life in service to others. She served as the organist at Centralia Presbyterian Church for 62 years, playing for services, accompanying hundreds of weddings and funerals, and teaching both piano and organ along the way. She spent her final years volunteering at Chehalis Centralia Railroad and Museum (CCRM), her church thrift store Reborn, attending Bible Study and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, rooting for the Seattle Mariners, Seahawks, and most recently the Kraken. She loved playing card games, cooking and baking her signature foods such as fudge, party mix, rolls, and jello salad.
