In Loving Memory of Louie Thormahlen: 1921-2022

Louie Thormahlen, 101, passed away May 21, 2022, in Chehalis, Washington, his home of 73 years. He was born Jan. 4, 1921, to Frank and Louise Thormahlen in Bridger, Montana. He married Irene Ida Hedberg on May 14, 1946. She passed away on July 19, 2006. 

Louie worked as a mechanic for St. Helens Tractor and then opened Louie’s Repair Shop, which sold and repaired tractors and farm implements. 

He loved traveling, camping, playing cards, visiting and sharing time with family and loved ones, rock hounding, jewelry making, gardening, fishing and spending time at the beach. 

Louie is survived by sons, Joe Nyce, Bill Thormahlen and John Thormahlen; daughters, Kathy McClain, Judy Cook, Ruth Quiggle and Suzy Fine; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Faas.
