Linda CoraLee (James) Morales passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. Linda was born Tuesday, June 29, 1954, in Elma, Washington, to Lucille (Mitchell) and Marvin A. James.

The youngest of five, Linda fondly recounted stories of growing up on the family farm in Rochester, Washington. She was a proud member of the 1972 graduating class of Rochester High School. She moved to Seattle shortly after graduating, eventually settling in Rainier Valley, where she resided for over 30 years before moving to Tacoma.

Linda worked for 21 years for the Washington State Liquor Control Board at various locations around Seattle, but most enjoyed being manager at the stores in Rainier Valley. Before and after her career with the liquor board, she worked as a nurse’s aid, IRS employee, lunch lady and cruise greeter.

Outside of work, Linda loved spending time with family, road trips, Mexican food and perfecting her rose and flower garden at her home in Seward Park. She was an active member of the Columbia Baptist Church and Burien Community Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Seattle Humane Society, and gave generously to many local, national and international organizations.

She was preceded in death by both parents, brothers and sister.

Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dena and Marc; grandpup Ferdinand; nieces Karrie, Tina, Beverly and Tynika; grand-nephew Connor and grand-niece Mary; step-children and many dear friends.
